:As for your statement goes, isn't that the same as reducing the specified install clearance, ie. the crown will expand the most and make contact since it is the first part of the piston to get heated and expand. The install clearance isn't based on the crown dimension, so I don't know that the bore clearances have changed. However, if the crown is a larger diameter than off-the-shelf Wiseco's, the net effect will be less clearance at the crown which should in theory reduce piston slap. While I still believe that many problems occur due to shoddy machinework, the existing Wiseco design seems to be much less forgiving than other pistons in regards to bore clearances because of the "excessive" skirt to crown taper
